As of February 24, 2022, many Russians have demonstrated their opposition to the war started by Putin and the Russian oligarchs. For this reason, the new goulags are thrown into prisons and even in “severe penitentiary camps”. Sometimes their only crime is to have dared to protest with a sheet of white paper, or to have recited poems in front of Maikovski’s statue!

In Ukraine too, more and more young people refuse to be forcefully enrolled to die for the interests of Ukrainian oligarchs.

We must not forget the prisoners and prisoners of peace!

Orange Fox Bike workers, ourselves Russian and Ukrainian refugees and asylum seekers who managed to flee, have been on strike since October against a thug boss who takes advantage of our administrative fragility to illegally exploit us. But we do not forget our friends and companions who could not escape and who are hiding behind bars and prison bars.

That’s why we invite you to come and share a moment with us, to talk about anti-war prisoners and prisoners, so that they are not forgotten.

So that they feel that they are not isolated, because solidarity is important, let’s take our pens, our pencils, our sheets to send them letters that will create bridges over the walls and barbed prisons.

Because it’s sometimes easier to write to multiple people, because mails will have to be translated into Russian or Ukrainian, we will organize a letter writing workshop soon. We will make available materials, documentation, letter templates to help us reflect on this exercise, inspire us, realize together the issues, constraints and possibilities.
