When I use the phrase green transition in this review, I’m referring to the shift of human society away from a reliance on the burning of fossil fuels — creating a new economic arrangement that can set society on a sustainable ecological path. The Green New Deal is a set of policies or a policy platform that is a particular strategy for the green transition.”
