The 3rd IWA Asia-Pacific convergence took place with comrades from Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Thailand, Japan, South Korea and Australia in attendence, while more people online. The event is meant to share experiences and information and strengthen contacts in the region.
Statement from the attendees of the IWA-AIT Asia-Pacific Convergence 2024
The 3rd IWA Asia-Pacific Convergence expresses its solidarity with the CNT-AIT Spain. We condemn CNT-CIT for taking legal actions against and trying to intimidate the anarchosyndicalist organization, CNT-AIT.
We also express our concern with the activities of the CIT in South-East Asia, where it promotes authoritarian unions, working within the state structures and supporting the government.
